Let's just say that today didn't start off so good.... I woke up around 645 and tried to go back to sleep but instead just kept waking up every hour. I finally got out of bed around 10 and started what I thought was going to be another regular day of babysitting followed by some frisbee. Boy was I wrong. Well, I got up, took a shower, and sat down on the computer to watch The Secret Life from Monday night. About halfway through the episode I got a call from my dad telling me that I left his car's lights on last night. (His car is really confusing. There isn't an "off" button for the lights) . And he told me to go out and try to start it. So, I went out into the garage, put the key in, turned and prayed. To my surprise, the car went "chugga chugga chugga VROOM" and started up. I was happy and went back to my show. At 1215 I went back out to start the car and get the boys....but this time when I turned the key it went "chugga chugga crunch... silence" Of course the car would start up when I didn't need it to and decide to die when I needed it.
I called the preschool and told Ro that I'd be a little late getting the boys and went to work trying to get the car seats out of my dad's car and into mine. Why didn't anyone ever tell me how freaking hard it is to get a car seat out of a car and into another. I finally gave up (drenched in sweat and tears I might add) after getting Droodle's into the Status. I figured Carty would be okay driving the two minutes from preschool to his house in just a regular seatbelt. I grabbed their house key and finally made my way over to the school, picked up the boys, and took them home. We went into the house and I called to their dog, Monty, to tell him to go outside. As soon as I said the word "out" Monty decided to squat and pee on the freaking carpet... not the tile where it would be easy to clean... the CARPET, so I had to scrub scrub it out. YUCK!!! The boys were rowdy as ever and caught a little bit of cabin fever, but in the end, they brought my mood up with their sugar. :D
I had Grandma take me home when she came to get the boys. And hoped to get a ride to frisbee. This is the point where my day turned around. Xander called and picked me up. We went to frisbee, which was unusually empty, and hung out. I spent the first game or so catching up with Dragon. After that a bunch of people left so we played a 5/5 game and a 4/4 game. My first team (Ang, Clark Kent, Quadriplegic, and All-star.. i think) won, the second team(All-star, Clark Kentm and Phil) lost by one point, but it was fun nonetheless. Having smaller teams meant that boys actually trusted me to catch the frisbee, and I think I did pretty good. Snagged a few, dropped some, threw a few good short throws.... good times. Maybe next time, I'll actually be picked for a team instead of having to pick my own. Oh well, frisbee definitely turned my day around. Afterwards, Xander and I hit up Wendy's as I was starving after actually playing... Good times.
Tomorrow marks the last day with my babies. :(
