In Case You Were Wondering

In case you didn't already know, I filled out my application for the University on Saturday. It's turned in and being processed (allegedly) as I write this. I did a lot of thinking, made a pro/con list, talked about it with friends and family, etc. and in the end, I think this is the best thing. I do love my friends here, they know that, but I love my family more. I'll probably end up living at home, at least for next year, because I don't have a snowballs chance in Hell of getting housing. That's the way things work at the U. But I'm looking forward to being with my best friend, basketball and football games, school pride, getting lost on campus, fighting for a parking spot, and being in classes of more than 20 students.

I'm taking the advice of a friend who knows me better than most people do, or at least that was true at some point in the not-so-distant past. "Make a decision and don't look back". So the decision has been made. There will be no "what if's", no "maybe I could have done it's", none of that stuff. I've taken the first step.. Here we goooo

On a different note: Formspring is kinda funny. I get to see what people have really been wondering. Although I'm not sure why they're all so obsessed about certain events.

Things that make me smile:
My family
Supportive friends
Reconnecting

Things that irk me:
My English professor
Temper Tantrums

  1. I don't usually comment, but I for one think this is a great decision, and will be glad to see more of you! :) If you are changing your major and want to talk "educational options", come over for some sweet tea and homemade bread this summer and I'd love to talk.

  2. My Dear Em,
You have always had a level head on your shoulders. You have weighed it all out and are making a great decision. I love you and am looking forward to having you back here. I know the twins are looking forward to seeing more of you too!
    Love,
