Wall-e, VPK-ers, and Boyfriends

I spent the majority of my waking hours today babysitting the twins, Gracey and Joagster, as I like to call them. They are the two most hyperactive four-and-a-half year olds I know, but that always means I'll have a good time. I walked in the door to find Gracey dressed as a bride. She ran up to me and informed me that brides do not clean their rooms, so I had to do it for her. Needless to say, that didn't happen. Next came Joagster, he was sitting on the couch as asked me if I would be his girlfriend. Who could resist that adorable boy? I said yes. I gave about a million shuttle rides, otherwise known as piggie-backs, and then we settled down to watch Wall-e.

I had never seen it before. Can you believe that? I think I may have over-analyzed it, considering it's made by Disney, but I think it was the classic love story. Boy meets girl, and falls in love with her. Girl is blissfully unaware. Boy keeps after girl. Girl realized she loves boy, but it is too late. Something amazing happens and boy comes back to life. Girl and boy live happily ever after. The End. If life worked like that.....

Anyways, after the movie ended, playtime continued, followed by dinner, the usual "I miss my mommy breakdown", a little more play, and the return of the parents. It was a good time. I'm glad I get the opportunity to be around kids so much. It gives me a chance to see what I'll be getting into once I get a job after college.

I think I'll return to my Roadrunner Raspberry frozen yogurt now. I hear the sounds of the Zohan in the other room.
